If you hire the firm: fees
20% of back pay, paid to the firm by VA, for Higher-Level Reviews and Supplemental Claims. One-third of back pay, billed to you after VA pays you, for Board appeals, CUE and earlier effective dates. Nothing unless VA grants. The fee comes only from back pay, never from your monthly payments. No fee before VA's initial decision on a claim.
